this is caused by a dry cleaner who doesn’t know to remove the leather before cleaning

This brooch is interesting because in addition to “Danecraft Sterling” being stamped on the backside

The caftan is embroidered in gold toned yellow, green and red on the upper front and with a bit of yellow detail on the ends of the sleeves. There is an 8 slit at either bottom side. Im unsure of the fabric, but it is a faille (fine grosgrain) moir, possibly a cotton or linen silk blend, but Im really not sure.
